South Korea vs Bahrain betting preview

South American stars bought to race in Dubai
The growing internationalization of the sport of horse racing could not be better demonstrated than by the players involved in two separate deals to bring star Argentinean racehorses, Anaerobio and Paulinho, to Dubai in good time for them to acclimatize ahead of targets at the World Cup meeting in March next year.
With South America having upset the fixed odds by producing this year’s World Cup winner Gloria de Campeao and another recent World Cup winner Invasor, bloodstock agents, trainers and owners now see countries like Brazil and Argentina as potential harvesting grounds for high class racehorses that can be acquired at reasonable prices.
Asiatic Boy, another successful Argentine horse who won the UAE Derby, is the example being cited for the purchase by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Maktoum of this year’s Group 1 Gran Premio Jockey Club winner Anaerobio, who will now join Dubai-based South African Mike de Kock and be prepared for a crack at some of the top prizes at the forthcoming festival meetings.
In October, Paulinho arrived in Dubai as the property of new owner Ruslan Bifov, a Russian multi-millionaire, having left Argentina unbeaten as a juvenile where his wins included the Group 1 Gran Premio Estrellas. Herman Brown, another Dubai-based South African trainer, has been given charge of the three-year-old colt who won has won his three career starts by an aggregate of 25 lengths.
In recent seasons horses have arrived for the Dubai World Cup meting and the Carnival fixtures that lead up to the main event, from all corners of the globe. Runners from the Far East are a regular sight, there have been Indian-trained winners, of course the major European racing nations send plenty of ammunition to try and pillage the top prizes, whilst challengers from the US and Australia (with Australia horse racing fans always keen to get involved) also join the party making the fixture a truly global affair.

NCAA Football – South Carolina is just stops from making history
Head Coach Steve Spurrier was finally able to break the spell and South Carolina defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 35 to 21. The Gamecocks quarterback Stephen Garcia had one of his best nights ever. If you are into numbers, Garcia completed 17 of 20 for 201 yards and three touchdown-passes. Freshman Marcus Lattimore of South Carolina outplayed Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram. Lattimore completed 23 carriages and for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ingram, on the other hand, went completed 11 for 41 yards and no touchdowns.
This weekend, many things could change. The guys from South Carolina are going to head on to Florida and play their hearts for the SEC East Crown. There has been 117 seasons of South Carolina football. Only once, back in 1969 had the people in Columbus, South Carolina celebrated an ACC Championship. Let it be noticed, that they haven’t got this close to win again, since. Until this week, when the Gamecocks face the Florida Gators in what could be their second biggest upset of the season.
Since its win over the No. 1 team in the nation, the Gamecocks have had a somewhat irregular series against 4 teams. The record since they crushed Alabama: 2-2. The Gamecocks had to go into overdrive to leave behind Vanderbilt and Tennessee, and, let’s be frank, their game against Arkansas last weekend, wasn’t the prettiest showcase of football ever.
But here is the key to this all. If South Carolina defeats Florida, it will have a Ticket to play the Auburn Tigers. Ok, I know its not official yet, but taking into account the marvelous season that the Auburn Tigers have had, there is a good chance that those boys are going to win the SEC West. So, if we take a quick look at the references, one could assume that whether Florida or South Carolina makes it to the SEC Championship Game, there is still a fairly good chance that either team could upset the Auburn Tigers.
Historically, the SEC West has been the weaker end of the conference. What we need to focus on here is on a simple fact: most any team in the SEC West has been much stronger then any other team in the SEC East this season. And here is where the Gamecocks have to react. South Carolina is not a big school. We have already talked about this issue on another blog entry. South Carolina is not one of those elite football program schools in the country we expect to see each year in the Bowl Games. The Florida Gators, on the other hand, is one of those teams.
What’s the difference? Well, the Gator will always have a better chance next year. For the Gamecocks this season might be as good as it gets for a long-long while. And if that is not enough motivation to go out there and put their hearts out on the field, then they probably don’t deserve a chance at SEC Championship Game.

NCAA football – South Carolina stuns Alabama
Mark Ingram was finally giving sings of recovering the speed, agility and roughness that had him win Alabama’s first Heisman Trophy. It was also the chance to repeat what he had done last year during their home game against South Carolina, where not only did the Crimson Tide took a notorious win but Mark Ingram went on to put an amazing performance that certainly consolidated him as one of the better prospects of the season.
It is not too much of an extravaganza to assume that head coach Nick Saban via Mark Ingram, and Greg McElroy would have put on another win at South Carolina. But it seemed that Steve Spurrier was finally able to break the spell and defeat Alabama 35 to 21.
The secret ingredient: Quarterback Stephen Garcia and a bombproof defense that managed to keep both Ingram and Richardson unnoticed for most of the game as the dynamic duo completed an very sub par performance. The two had a season long combined mark of 64 yards. To understand just how well the Gamecocks defense performed in this game, you need to take into account that they were able to keep the Crimson Tide to 36 rushing yards. South Carolina on the other hand completed 110 yards on that department.
Now, via the talented quarterback Stephen Garcia, the Gamecocks put up the most points over Alabama since their 41-34 lost to LSU back in 2007. This is a team that has had some troubles so far this season. The South Carolina Gamecocks are 4-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play this season. And this is by far the best win they have had in a while. Now, they halted the Crimson Tide on their feet. You need to consider that Alabama, coming on as the defending champions had won 19 consecutive games, and to make it fair, they have won 19 consecutive games playing in the South Eastern Conference, which is one of the most competitive in the nation.
They played well. Nick Saban came out and recognized that his team had not performed as it is expected to. But he also accepted that South Carolina had outplayed them in basically each positive statistical value. For instance, Stephen Garcia went 17 of 20 for 201 yards and three touchdown-passes. South Carolina’s head Coach Steve Spurrier has one big issue in front of him: find a way to slow down the Alabama Crimson Tide, who has just recently made then-No. 7 Florida Gators seem like an easy Sunday morning walk in the park. As if that was not enough, the guys at South Carolina, and particularly the fans, most be a bit concern for what the fully recovered Mark Ingram showed off in his performance against the Gators.
Let’s go back to Bama’s last season game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. This game was some sort of decisive moment for Mark Ingram’s college career. Last season, Ingram rushed 246 yards against South Carolina. That was enough to make give him the third highest mark in Alabama’s history. And let’s not forget how he closed the game. Ingram was the man responsible for each of the Crimson Tide’s last 68 yards in the final scoring drive. That is including the 4-yard pitch he took for touchdown to secure the 20-6 win.
But Ingram is not the only strong player the Gamecocks should be worried about. Also starting will be Trent Richardson, who was key during the first two games that Ingram lost at the beginning of the season due to an injury in his right knee. Richardson has recorded in the first five games of the season a very respectable mark of 419 yards and 4 touchdowns.
That duo is expected to keep on with the Crimson Tide’s winning streak. So far this season, Alabama is 5-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play. They are not only the most dominant team in SEC, but top the rankings nationally.
Ingram is expected to shine again against the defense he so cleverly tore apart last year. If he is really going to try to get his second consecutive Heisman Trophy, he knows this is where it can all start to fall into place. He has said that his game against South Carolina, and the brilliant performance he had there, was what really threw him into the race for the Heisman. Not only did he deserved it, but was proud to bring in Alabama’s first Heisman ever. Now they could have two.
As of press time, the Alabama Crimson tide is the favorite on the spread to win this game. When it comes to wagering on the NCAA football season, the key factor is what the underdog is going to be able to bring on the table. The line might fluctuate a bit from now till kickoff, but at

South Africa steps back in time with online casino ban

Online gambling banned in South Africa
It is now illegal to gamble using digital products in South Africa, the Gauteng Gambling Board said after a Friday court ruling.
The judgement on the jurisdiction of online gambling transactions in the country was handed down by the North Gauteng High Court on August 20.
This means that online gambling operators in South Africa and players will be in contravention of the law, and according to Business Day, could face a fine of R10-million or 10 years in jail, or both.
According to the Gauteng Gambling Board's head of legal services, Lucky Lukhwareni, online casinos are now liable for prosecution.
How could anyone take a person named Lucky seriously, especially if they worked in gambling regulation??
Other reports (EGR) have stated that the ban refers to all forms of online gambling, but that would be even more ridiculous considering the sports betting licences they have awarded lately. Bans for online casinos had been rumoured earlier in the year so this comes as no great surprise.
