There is some talk around the Big Apple that both New York teams could clash in the Super Bowl.
The New York Jets are sitting on top of the AFC East standing at 9-2 and have won their last four matches. It is the second-best start to a season in their history and their 26-10 win over Cincinnati on Thanksgiving night set up nicely a clash for the leading in the standings with the New England Patriots at the weekend.
Over in the NFC East, the New York Giants are now tied for the lead after they ended a two-game losing streak with a 24-20 comeback win against Jacksonville.
There has been much debate about the prospect of an all-New York Super Bowl, but a lot could come down to whether either side would be capable of making it past a strong Pittsburgh Steelers side on their way to the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington in February for Super Bowl 45. The Super Bowl 2011 odds certainly suggest it is a possibility.
Former Super Bowl winner and MVP Joe Montana has stated he that sees it as a distinct possibility that the Giants and Jets could both compete in the marquee occasion, which would see hordes of New Yorkers heading to Dallas and giving the whole occasion an east coast feel in Texas.
“I think there’s a good possibility
