Smokers Beat Bingo Ban

Bingo players in the Republic Of Ireland have discovered a novel way to beat the smoking ban.

Individuals who like to play bingo and have stopped since the smoking ban has been introduced may be interested in a new activity taking place.

Drive-in bingo has been created and is taking place in Meath, which is located in eastern Ireland.

Seamus Davis, organiser of the event, said it is starting to gain in popularity and he thinks it will continue to grow.

“It’s … a great laugh and there’s been a lot of positive reaction. You can relax in your own car … and enjoy the game and not worry about parking,” he added.

The biggest attraction for people is the opportunity to take up smoking with their bingo games again, something that many people appear to enjoy.

It is also taking place in a number of other counties in the island, including Dublin and Wexford.

Mr Davis remarked once people get there, all they have to do is buy a book and turn their car off, making it very easy for the competitors.

Once again ordinary people come up with ingenious solutions to the self righteous and their love of banning things people enjoy. Thank god Puritanism never really caught on in Ireland… “Puritanism – the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.”
