 By James Burn 12:36PM 1 OCT 2010 THERE could be up to £1.75 million up for grabs in Saturday's Scoop6, which takes in four races from Newmarket and two from Redcar.

RELATED LINKS Scoop6 cards  The win pool has now reached £468,366, while the bonus fund – which has not been won since May – is creeping closer to the £1 million mark at £861,677. With up to £500,000 expected to be bet into the pools on Saturday, the win fund alone could be close to £700,000.

“The Scoop6 pools are beginning to reach life-changing sums and with up to £1.75 million up for grabs, there should be plenty of interest in what is a cracking weekend of racing,” said Tote spokesman George Primarolo.

The bet's races include the Group 1 Kingdom Of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes andthe 35-runner Totesport.com Cambridgeshire.

Fallon picks Axiom for Saturday's Challenge Cup

Axiom: is the general 12-1 fourth favourite for the Challenge Cup

  PICTURE: Mark Cranham (racingpost.com/photos)  Fallon picks Axiom for Challenge Cup at Ascot By Peter Scargill 4:06PM 21 SEP 2010 KIEREN FALLON had the choice of two fancied Luca Cumani-trained runners in Saturday's Totesport.com Challenge Cup at Ascot but has elected to ride Axiom.

RELATED LINKS Challenge Cupbetting Challenge Cup card  The six-year-old, who races for owners Samanda Racing, is the 12-1 fourth favourite for the 7f handicap after pipping Desert Creek to win at Goodwood last time under Fallon, the first time the jockey had ridden him since Dubai in February.

Cumani also has top-weight Acrostic,  the 10-1 third favourite, engaged in the race and the trainer confirmed both are intended runners.

"They are both intended runners," Cumani said. "Kieren will ride Axiom. I asked him which one he wanted and that's the one he chose."
