Dancing on Ice Odds Update

And then there were seven! Dancing On Ice contenders are being wiped out and Kerry Katona was the latest victim of the public and judges vote and, to be fair, it was definitely time for her to go and everyone knew it!

So who’s left and who can genuinely win it? Sam Attwater was favourite from the get-go but recent off ice revelations regarding smooches with his dance partner have left his fans a little peeved and he may now not be as secure as he thought. He’s still very entertaining but technically some of the others are chomping at the it and over taking him.

One such lady is Laura Hamilton. Little known at the outset, unless you have kids who watch her on Nickelodeon, she nearly didn’t make the cut on the first week but the audience have warmed to her and the judges clearly love her and he skating is impeccable so watch this space…

Johnson Beharry is the third fav with the bookies, I imagine because he’s a national hero and despite all obstacles, he’s has triumphed and blossomed and God knows, we love an underdog!!

Dancing on Ice Favourites

With the 2011 series of Dancing On Ice well and truly underway, one or two have jumped out as true stars and have fast become favourites with the bookies to take this years title. In just three short weeks the line-up has been whittled down from an ambitious 16 contestants to just 11 and this week one more will go.

The difference is that it will be up to the actual celebrity skaters themselves to decide which of their fellow competitors in the skate-off will wave bye-bye on Sunday. A cruel but fascinating twist, if I’m to be honest. Will they vote the ‘worst’ skater off or simply use this to get rid of some competition??

Ultimately, it will be the public who decide on the bottom two and if the bookies odds are anything to go by then Dominic Corke and Johnson Beharry are hovering on the brink – although I don’t think Johnson will be in the bottom two. The public genuinely like and respect him, a national hero and a hard worker and, in my humble opinion, it would be a shame to see a man of such fine standing go when the likes of useless Kerry Katona stays!

So, aside from Johnson Beharry getting my vote, the clear, odds on favourite, is Sam Attwater who is very good indeed and will probably win it outright.

Dancing On Ice Odds

It hasn’t even started yet but bookies are already taking odds on who is going to win this year’s Dancing On Ice. I’m going to try to be positive about the show, though I may struggle, because it does require a modicum of skill to get through a routine so I’ll give credit where it’s due.

Without fail, the line-up is yet again a scraping of the barrel of celebs trying to stretch out their has-been 15 minutes of fame but, I suppose, that’s irrelevant when trying to triple toe loop across the ice especially if you’re Angela Rippon!

The rest of the cast include….drum roll please….Sam Attwater (who?????), Laura Hamilton (who?????), Jennifer Metcalfe (vaguely familiar), Jeff Brazier (touted as a TV host but really only famous for being with Jade Goody), Kerry Katona (for God’s sake), Johnson Beharry (not a clue who he is), Nadia Sawalha (hurray, I name we know!!), Vanilla ‘Ice Ice Baby’ Ice (queue ITV minions lining up the ‘Ice’ puns as I type), Angela Rippon, Denise Welch, Steven Arnold (no idea??), Chloe Madeley (famous only for being offspring of Richard & Judy), Elen Rives (famous only for marrying Frank Lampard), Dave Vitty (???), Craig McLachlan (was in neighbours 20 years ago) and last, but not least, Dominic Cork who finishes off the list of people we’ve never heard of!

It could still be good though and after a few weeks we’ll probably be cheering them on and waiting for the terrible ones to get the boot. We’ll be booing and hissing at Jason Gardiners cruel comments, and wondering how many complaints will go to OFCOM about Ms. Willoughby’s attire and generally be oohing and ahhing at the skill of some of the good ones…

Odds at the moment are obviously based on not having seen any of them actually skate so they could all change after tonight’s show…
